Rock Crystal Minnow Pendant

Combining Greek and Roman art and Art Deco craftsmanship with a unique aesthetic, the Prounis pendant is made of 22k recycled gold with ancient goldsmith techniques.
Rooted in the idea that life began in water, the Minnow Collection takes the small fish as a symbol of the abundance of life sustained by the sea. A minnow, whose form traces back to the early Miocene, is carved from rock crystal and suspended vertically, with a 22k gold accent at the base of its tail.
The collection was created to mark the conclusion of a residency at Galerie Sardine, a small experimental artist residency in Paris. Ten percent of sales from the collection is donated to marine conservation efforts.
The crystal’s clarity makes the piece feel as though the purity of the sea has been captured around the swimming minnow. When worn, it catches the light and adds a quiet shimmer at the neckline.
