Large Green Tourmaline Tear Pendant

Combining Greek and Roman art and Art Deco craftsmanship with a unique aesthetic, the Prounis pendant is made of 22k recycled gold with ancient goldsmith techniques.
A deep green tourmaline cut into a teardrop shape is enclosed in warm 22K gold. The bail takes inspiration from laurel leaves, which crowned victors in ancient Greece, and the broad leaf details are formed using repoussé, an ancient technique in which the metal is worked from the reverse to raise the design.
Paired with the 22K gold “Duo Loop-in-loop Chain with Fibula Clasp,” the tourmaline’s layered depth of color is brought forward even more. It adds a rich accent at the neckline of a wool knit or turtleneck and works especially well with seasonal dressing.
